This Spring, Lifespan had a client with this little "canned ham" lying around and we happily scooped it up. The restoration took most of the summer, but the hammy was finished in time for a few road trips before the cold really set in. We wanted to keep it looking like the original, so we went with this fun, vintage color scheme. The entire outside had to be cleaned, sanded, and painted to give it that smooth finish. Note the signature Shasta wings! The inside wasn't in great shape. We kept the original cabinets, but had to do all new wiring and plumbing. It still has the retro vibe, but with some modern amenities for comfortable living. We're pretty proud of the finished product! Perfect for lounging with a martini and surprisingly spacious for such a little guy. Can't wait to get back out on the road! Check out more progress pictures and the final product here.
10/25/2013 Is that tile?
Why try to simulate tile? Some people love the look of tile but don't like the cold feel associated with it. This product is vinyl and is sitting on a wood underlayment , hence a warmer feel. Installation is a breeze as well! No special tile saws needed to cut this flooring. No messy thin set for installation. You can also grout the same day.
10/7/2013 Fresh StartWelcome We're pleased to announce our new blog for Lifespan Construction. We've been working hard to create tools to better communicate with our audience. I love taking pictures on the job. Hopefully our clients aren't shy and I'll include pics of their lives from the job site. |
